Thousands of women are expected to attend the Pennsylvania Conference for women which will convene at the Pennsylvania Convention Center on Nov. 7, two days after the next U.S. president is elected. 

The gathering will explore the obstacles faced by women and celebrate their triumphs. Organizers of the nonpartisan event said they hope to unite attendees under this year’s theme, “Power in Unity.” They also said that many potential attendees were focused on Tuesday’s debate between Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump.

The gathering will explore the obstacles faced by women and celebrate their triumphs. Conference topics include reproductive rights, pay equality, mental health and professional and personal development.

Speakers will include actress Sheryl Lee Ralph, lifestyle expert Martha Stewart, championship basketball coach Dawn Staley and Joyce Abbott, of Philadelphia, the former educator for whom the show “Abbott Elementary” is named.
