The following report is for crimes reported in Chestnut Hill and Mt. Airy for the period from Nov. 13 to Nov. 19.

The following report is for crimes reported in Chestnut Hill and Mt. Airy for the period from Nov. 13 to Nov. 19. (Some crimes that occurred on dates earlier than the current period but weren’t reported until later may be included.)

Chestnut Hill:

Nov. 14 Theft. A woman reported that someone took her window well on the 8400 block of Shawnee Street.

Nov. 14 Theft from motor vehicle. An offender broke the passenger side window of a vehicle parked on Valley Green Road, and stole a wallet.

Nov. 14 Theft of motor vehicle parts. A complainant reported that someone took four wheels from a vehicle parked on the 8000 block of Winston Road.

Nov. 15 Shoplifting. An offender grabbed Lysol from the Staples on the 7700 block of Germantown Avenue, and left without paying.

Nov. 15 Theft. A woman reported that someone took money from her room in the Fairview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in the 100 block of Bethlehem Pike.

Nov. 15 Theft from motor vehicle. A complainant reported that someone stole cash, bank cards, and sunglasses from their vehicle parked on Oak Road and West Northwestern Avenue.

Nov. 18 Theft from motor vehicle. An offender shattered the front passenger window of a vehicle parked on the unit block of Valley Green Road, and stole AirPods and various bank cards.

Nov. 18 Theft. A woman reported that someone stole her wallet on the unit block of West Evergreen Avenue and used her credit cards.

Nov. 18 Theft from motor vehicle. A woman reported that someone broke the rear window of her vehicle parked on the 400 block of West Willow Grove Avenue, and stole her iPad.

Mt. Airy:

Nov. 13 Burglary. A woman reported that someone broke into her apartment on the unit block of Montana Street, and began to punch her and threaten to kill her. She said that the person left shortly after, but continues to threaten her via text message.

Nov. 13 Theft. An offender stole a package from off of a woman’s porch on the 100 block of West Gorgas Lane.

Nov. 13 Motor vehicle theft. A complainant reported that their vehicle parked on the 100 block of East Phil Ellena Street, was taken by an unknown tow truck.

Nov. 13 Vandalism of property. An offender broke the rear passenger of a vehicle parked on the 200 block of West Upsal Street, but nothing was taken.

Nov. 14 Theft. A woman reported that she was sent a package, but never actually received it at her residence on the 6600 block of Blakemore Street. Online records say there was a confirmed delivery. 

Nov. 14 Theft of motor vehicle parts. An offender took four wheels from a vehicle parked on the 7000 block of Greene Street.

Nov. 15 Shoplifting. A group of offenders took candy and soda from the Wawa on the 7200 block of Germantown Avenue, and left without paying.

Nov. 16 Theft from motor vehicle. A woman reported that when she returned to her vehicle parked on the 6400 block of Lensen Street, she noticed 25 viles of her fragrance oils were missing and that there were no signs of forced entry into the car.

Nov. 16 Burglary. A man reported that someone entered his home on the 7000 block of Cresheim Road with no forced entry, and stole fishing rods, perfume, clothing, shoes, war medals, and firearms. Recently, he and his wife have been packing up their apartment to get ready to move, and the incident occurred while they were away from the house for about three hours.

Nov. 16 Shoplifting. A group of offenders took food and drinks from the Wawa on the 7200 block of Germantown Avenue, and left without paying.

Nov. 17 Aggravated assault. A man reported that after accidentally bumping into another man while walking on Greene Street and West Hortter Street, the offender pulled out a silver object and pressured it into the complainant’s abdomen. Nothing was taken from the complainant, and he was transported to Einstein hospital by a medic.

Nov. 17 Burglary. A man, who is a priest and lives next door to his church, reported that items have started to come up missing in his room on the 100 block of East Mount Airy Avenue. He put a lock on his door as a deterrent, but it was broken and more items were taken.

Nov. 17 Burglary. A complainant reported when they returned to their residence on the 300 block of Glen Echo Road, they noticed that the front door was wide open, a flower pot was knocked over, and that the rear patio door was open as well. Nothing was taken.

Nov. 17 Shoplifting. About 10 to 15 juveniles grabbed candy, soda, and chips from the Wawa on the 7200 block of Germantown Avenue, and left without paying.

Nov. 19 Shoplifting. An offender grabbed assorted food items from the Wawa on the 7200 block of Germantown Avenue, and left without paying.
